Blooms In My Garden

A Close-up Gazania.

Paperwhites in bloom and Basilicum (in Arabic: Mashmoom) or Thai Basil on the left.

Turnera Ulmifolia. I like this flowering plant. I remember I bought this when I started my gardening obsession! These flowers opens only for 1 day then they close and drop.

this is the most beautiful color of Hibiscus in my opinion... Hibiscus is definately one of my favorite plants!

Canna. This is a night shot with flash. Canna is very popular in Qatar. They are grown on the street pavements as they naturalize in our climate. Although in summer the leaves are burnt but as winter arrives; Canna really puts out a show!

Plumeria. The smell of that flower was so tangy!

White Amaryllis..

The only successful Dahlia I have grown this season. The other tubers never bloomed for some reason?!!

Who doesn't like sunflowers!

Yellow Bougainvillea.. my favorite plant.

Trailing Purple Lantana.

Thai Basil/ Basilicum .

Zinnia with a bee!!

Red Double Petunia.

Pansy.

Pink Bougainvillea.

Orange/Pink Bougainvillea.

Hybrid Bouaginvillea.

Morning Glory.

Gladious.

  2. The unknown yellow flower is Turnera ulmifolia. It grows here in Florida and re-seeds itself all over my yard. It has a lot of different common names but I always refer to it as Turnera.
