Those Narcissus variety are called "Carlton". They bear huge flowers. When I first planted those they were pre-chilled so it took them few weeks till I saw these blooms!
There are around 3-4 buds that are still growing. Definately would grow these next year same time!
Enjoy the pictures taken this morning...

You can certainly see why Carlton is so popular.
ReplyDeleteHow in the world did you get a rose to bloom at the same time as daffodils? ;)
ReplyDeleteHere in Qatar the weather is perfect for plants to settle in and to bloom.. it's like spring time cause temperatures are between 77F - 55F.
ReplyDeleteThe rose was already growing and has so many buds and is blooming constantly.. the narcissus I had no experience with it before.. it took about 4-5 weeks till it became in full bloom (it was pre-chilled).
I guess it's luck! This year I'm experimenting for next year :-)
The daffodils are very pretty, and I love the shade of that variety of rose.
ReplyDeleteyou are lucky to have such great weather all year round! One happy gardener :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comments.. actually in Qatar the summer is really hot and humid it reaches up to 120F around 49C. So the only cool time of the year is between October to end of April. I wish we have nice weather all year round!! plus it doesn't rain much in winter... thanks to the water irrigation systems!!! :-)
ReplyDeletewow really beautiful. You are doing a great job out there Ibrahim. Keep it up.
ReplyDeleteThanks Muhammad :-)
ReplyDeleteAgain am jealous of your blooms - it is so warm here in Spring that if we get narcissus, crocuses and tulips to bloom, they go over in two or three days.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful display.
probably your climate is milder than here. Its just I'm planting those for winter bloom which is spring in europe and the rest of the world. We get cool weather in winter and mostly sunny.. so it's spring!
ReplyDeleteI had 2 types of tulips that lasted a week but the other types stayed in bloom only a day or two.
paperwhites are great for our climate... I'm trying different bulbs like Gladiolus which gardeners says that they naturalize in our climate and blooms twice a year.
