Hyacinthus

This variety is called Multiflora Hyacinth. The flowers are not as compact as the regular Hyacinth and the mother bulb has about 4-5 baby bulbs. So this is coming from only 1 main bulb with small ones attached to it!!

  1. Ibrahim, wonderful pics. I am sure the scent would be amazing. I forced orientalis in water this year and result was very good. Also tried it in a light compost and not bad either. Would post pictures soon on my blog.

  2. What a beautiful one, it seems so much bigger than the ones I usually see. It looks perfect in that container.

  3. Catherine.. thanks for ur comments.. I have around 10 or more of those wooden containers I love them.. and they look good with cactus as well!!

Muhammad... I never tried forcing Hyacinth in glass. I've seen it in the garden center but since they had it up there it never grew much. So I assumed I will not succeed. I like planting them in soil...

  4. Lucky you to be able to grow these flowers. It is too hot here on my island, but that doesn't stop me from trying. Welcome to blotanicals and the world of garden bloggers.
